Czech 2027 grant programmes launched to support social services in Ostrava and South Bohemia

Two grant programmes for 2027 have been announced to support social‑service activities in the Czech Republic. The city of Ostrava issued a call for applications by 9 October 2026, offering targeted funding for organisations that assist people with disabilities, including year‑round operations, information campaigns, and protected‑workplace placements. Eligible applicants include registered NGOs, churches and public‑interest companies, but not municipal entities of Ostrava itself.

The South Bohemian Region opened a parallel call for purpose‑specific subsidies, with applications accepted until 31 October 2026. The programme provides interest‑free, repayable financial assistance to providers of various social‑service categories, such as preventive counselling, ambulatory and residential care, and emergency services. Funding is linked to the regional employment‑plus operational programme and does not create a legal entitlement.

Both calls aim to ensure continuous financing of social‑service provision and to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities across the respective territories.
