Czech actresses discuss life experiences and career shifts

Czech actresses Jitka Čvančarová and Jana Nagyová have shared insights regarding their personal lives and career paths.

Čvančarová discussed the impact of her travels, including a recent trip to Uganda and a previous humanitarian mission to Mali with UNICEF. She noted that witnessing the demanding daily lives of people in other countries, such as the intense manual labor required for subsistence in Uganda, provides a perspective that encourages a greater appreciation for the prosperity and stability found in the Czech Republic.

Nagyová, widely known for her role in the fairy tale Arabela, reflected on her decision to step away from acting nearly thirty years ago to focus on family life. After living in Germany and currently residing in Switzerland, she has made a return to the Czech acting industry. She described the transition back to professional life as unexpected and noted the challenges of adapting to new technologies, directors, and colleagues after a long hiatus.
