Czech and Slovak actresses begin filming new comedy and tragicomedy movies

Actress Eva Holubová (67) is filming the Czech comedy *Bardotky* alongside Pavlína Pořízková and Dagmar Havlová. Holubová described her character Iva as “funny, independent and loving,” and highlighted the camaraderie on set, including sampling traditional Czech food.

Actress Zuzana Kronerová is set to shoot the tragicomic film *Houpačky* with director Bohdan Sláma. The project, based on Lucie Konečná’s novel, follows two friends confronting aging and mortality. Kronerová, who previously worked with Sláma, said the screenplay blends humor with serious moments and expects the film to premiere next year.
