Czech and Slovak authorities prosecute modeling agency exploitation cases

Authorities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia are pursuing major criminal cases involving modeling agencies used as fronts for sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

In the Czech Republic, a state prosecutor has filed an indictment against nine individuals related to the ‘Czech Casting’ operation. Investigators from the NCOZ allege that between 2013 and 2019, an organized group lured women under the guise of professional modeling opportunities, only to coerce them into filming pornographic content. The prosecution describes a ‘technique of small steps’ used to gradually push boundaries without consent. The group allegedly used high contractual penalties to prevent victims from withdrawing. The defendants, which include organizers, photographers, and actors, face charges including human trafficking, sexual coercion, and rape.

In Slovakia, a couple from Mojmírovce is facing serious allegations after numerous victims came forward. Witnesses, including one woman who was 14 at the time of the incident, claim the couple used a modeling agency to lure young girls to their home under the pretext of competition preparation. Victims report being intoxicated and trapped in rooms with the accused. The Ministry of Justice has taken interest in the case as more victims testify to the systematic deception and abuse.
