Czech and Slovak manufacturing shifts toward automation and digital integration

Industrial manufacturing in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is undergoing a significant transformation toward automation and digital integration. Data from the second annual Mazak CNC Monitor, conducted in early 2026 by Yamazaki Mazak Central Europe in collaboration with B-inside, indicates a shift in economic sentiment. While 2025 was marked by caution and concerns over fragmented workshops and labor shortages, 42% of surveyed companies now expect improved economic conditions in 2026. Optimism is highest among larger enterprises, though Slovak firms remain more cautious than their Czech counterparts.

To support this technological shift, Yamazaki Mazak is introducing new automation and machining solutions. At the MSV 2026 International Engineering Fair, the company will showcase the INTEGREX j-200S NEO, a multifunctional machining center designed to reduce production times by combining turning, milling, and drilling. Additionally, Mazak is presenting new robotic cells for automated machine tending and the CV5-700 five-axis machining center, which utilizes AI-driven control systems to enhance precision and stability in production.
