Czech architecture awards reveal 25 nominated projects, honor Čiperova Villa restoration

An international jury has selected 25 outstanding Czech buildings for the 11th Czech Architecture Award, highlighting a shift toward socially impactful, sustainable and public‑space‑focused design. The shortlist will be judged on‑site in August, with winners announced at a gala on 12 November.

Separately, the restored Čiperova Villa in Zlín, renovated with a 200 million CZK investment, won the Grand Prix in the Zlín Region's Building of the Year competition. The villa, originally built in 1942 for Baťa director Dominik Čipera, now serves as a cultural and community hub, reflecting the region’s emphasis on heritage preservation and social benefit.
