Czech Army officials face scrutiny over Skupina D and FPV Space ties

Investigations are underway regarding the Skupina D association and its financial ties to the company FPV Space. The association, which involves figures such as Otakar Foltýn, Karel Řehka, and Radek Hasala, is being scrutinized for its relationship with the Czech Army and the legality of its fundraising activities.

Courts are examining whether a 48% gross margin on charitable collections was legal and if funds were appropriately used, specifically regarding the purchase of four luxury SUVs (Mercedes and BMW) averaging 2 million CZK each. The association Skupina D was established only two days before FPV Space, and both were registered at the same notary office.

Concerns have been raised regarding the integration of a highly profitable non-profit sector directly into the operations of the Czech Army. The investigation also touches upon the connections between these entities and high-ranking officials, including President Petr Pavel and General Karel Řehka.
