Czech Army to intensify training and decentralize reserve drills

The Czech Army is significantly increasing its training intensity and expanding its operational capabilities. Following more than 160 exercises this year, the military plans to conduct over 300 exercises next year, incorporating lessons learned from current global conflicts and new technologies.

In addition to increased training, the military is continuing its rearmament process, having recently taken delivery of tanks, transport aircraft, and other equipment. Modern training methods are being implemented, including the use of sensors in helmets and vests to evaluate soldier performance and combat impact.

To improve accessibility, the military plans to decentralize initial training for the active reserve and volunteers. Within the next two years, basic training will expand from its traditional hub in Vyškov to at least four other locations across the country. While Vyškov will remain the primary center for professional career training and specialized courses due to its unique simulators, the new decentralized model aims to utilize regional training grounds and shooting ranges more effectively.
