Czech Bar Association announces deadline for mandatory fee relief

The Czech Bar Association has issued a reminder to lawyers regarding the upcoming deadline for applying for relief from certain mandatory fees. To secure relief for the year 2027, applications must be submitted to the Association no later than October 31, 2026.

Eligible individuals include those entitled to parental benefits, who may request a 50% reduction in both the Association's activity fee and the social fund levy for each child cared for. Additionally, lawyers who have practiced for at least 20 years may qualify based on age: those reaching 75 years old can apply for a 50% reduction, while those reaching 80 years old may apply for a full waiver of both fees. Once an application for these age-based reductions or waivers is submitted, it does not need to be repeated in subsequent calendar years.
