Czech beach soccer and volleyball tournaments draw crowds in August

The Beach Arena in Prague hosted the Final Four of the 2026 Fortuna Beach Soccer League on 1 August, where BS Slavia Praha secured its second men’s title and also won the women’s Astratex Beach Soccer League after a penalty shoot‑out. Slavia dominated the men’s final, beating Bohemians 9‑2, while the women’s side prevailed in a dramatic shoot‑out, with Tomáš Huráb converting the decisive penalty.

Later in August, Brno’s Sokolák beach venue staged a multi‑day beach volleyball Futures tour, featuring Czech pairs in both men’s and women’s draws. Top‑ranked duo Ondřej Perušič and Jakub Šépka expressed optimism, saying, “Startovní listina vypadá poměrně zajímavě, těšíme se na spoustu těžkých zápasů před domácími fanoušky.” The tournament also included paravolleyball and a European women’s six‑player championship, highlighting the growing popularity of beach sports across the Czech Republic.
