Czech bus services modify routes in Jablonec and Pelhřimov regions
In Jablonec nad Nisou, municipal buses resume their standard routes on Liberecká street on August 8, ending detours for lines 104, 105, 106, 112 and 114. Starting August 10, temporary traffic measures are introduced on Pražská street for lines 101 and 105, with several stops suspended and replacements set up. Director Luboš Wejnar of Jablonec’s transport authority thanked passengers for their patience during the construction work.
Meanwhile, in the Pelhřimov and Humpolec area, the ten‑year regional contract for bus services has passed from ICOM Transport to ČSAD Autobusy České Budějovice (operating as Busem). The new operator will add about 1.4 million kilometres of service per year, increase frequency, and launch a direct line 401 to Prague, cutting travel times to under two hours. Governor Martin Kukla highlighted the improved connections for commuters and shoppers, and the coordination of bus‑train transfers at local stations.
