Czech castles host summer evening cultural programs
On Saturday, 22 August, Fryštát Castle will hold a night‑time open‑house event featuring guided tours of the castle and the adjacent Church of the Elevation of the Holy Cross. The programme includes a lecture by castle keeper Petr Zajíček on the legend of Lucifer, as well as historic carriage rides through the castle park. Standard entry costs 100 CZK, the lecture 50 CZK and a carriage ride 80 CZK.
Between 10 and 12 August, the park of Blatná Castle will stage the outdoor performance “Mezi světy”. The show combines a pop‑up planetarium with illuminated puppets, fire‑dance and an aerial crane act that lets acrobats glide above the audience. Produced by V. O. S. A. Theatre, the event is free for the public and is backed by the Czech State Cultural Fund.
