Czech charity initiatives raise funds for animal welfare

Various charitable initiatives in the Czech Republic are raising funds for animal welfare and local shelters. The Super zoo stone challenge, now in its fourth year, has raised over 2.9 million CZK for abandoned and disabled animals. Participants can paint stones and leave them in nature or purchase them at Super zoo stores to support various non-profit organizations.

In a separate effort, organizers of the Beskydská sedmička mountain race held a charity auction for race entry fees. Bids reached over 12,000 CZK for single spots, with proceeds designated for the Žermanice animal shelter. This year's race also marks the return of founder Libor Uher as a competitor after a twelve-year hiatus.
