Czech cinema rolls out three new film releases
The Czech film "Dřevorubec" – a romantic comedy about a corporate executive sent to manage a Valachian sawmill – debuted its first trailer, starring Pavla Gajdošíková and Adam Vacula, with a theatrical release scheduled for 12 November 2026.
"Dovolená v Českém ráji" is a comedy set in the Český ráj region, following a family on a camping holiday. The cast includes Tomáš Jeřábek and Magdalena Borová. The film will open across Czech cinemas on 30 July, preceded by a regional pre‑premiere tour that culminates with a screening at the Trosky castle.
A review of Dan Pánek’s "Po večerce" describes the film as a family‑oriented summer‑camp romance starring Vladimír Polívka as a burnt‑out corporate worker who takes over his father’s long‑running children’s camp. While positioned as a romantic comedy, the reviewer notes its focus on nostalgic camp life rather than strong humor.
