Czech cities Brno and Prague open new public playgrounds in 2026
The Brno‑Žabovřesky district will open a newly reconstructed children’s playground on June 25, 2026, featuring modern equipment such as a trampoline, shaded sandbox and climbing tower. The project, funded with over five million Czech crowns from the municipal budget, incorporated input from local parents and playground‑design experts.
In Prague 9, several school playgrounds will be made accessible to the public during the 2026 school year, operating on a seasonal schedule from April to October. The initiative is financed through the city’s education support program, aiming to provide additional recreational space for residents.
Both municipalities emphasize community involvement and the creation of safe, modern play areas for children and families.
