Regional sports infrastructure undergoes widespread revitalization

Various municipalities across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina are undergoing significant sports and community infrastructure upgrades.

In Slovakia, officials are pursuing a National Basketball Center in Ružomberok, a project supported by the Ministry of Sport and the Olympic Committee. The plan involves a land swap with the Ministry of the Interior to facilitate a 2,800-seat arena, training facilities, and a swimming pool.

In the Czech Republic, several local projects are underway: - Kolín has opened a new artificial turf field at Sparta Kolín, funded in part by the National Sports Agency. - Jihlava is finalizing the Bedřichov sports complex, featuring a new football pitch and firefighter training facilities. - Bohumín is reconstructing the Kuželna area, including volleyball courts, following flood damage. - Prague 13 has completed the revitalization of the Petržílkova – Nušlova block, adding greenery and modernized sports fields. - Stříbro is renovating its cultural house in stages, with the first phase focusing on the main hall. - Svitavy is planning a new skatepark, though local leaders debate the timing and funding. - Prague is expanding its unique recreational offerings, including a 40-meter slide in Dejvice and a new pumptrack near the main station.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, NK Čelik is set to establish a new club gym at Bilino polje, supported by a significant donation from a supporter in Germany.
