Czech Cities Launch Multi‑Million CZK Infrastructure Revamps

Prague’s historic Jiřího z Poděbrad square reopened after a two‑year, CZK 470 million renovation that added new trees, lawns, a restored fountain and upgraded metro access, with part of the cost covered by European Union funding.

In Jablonec nad Nisou, the municipal council approved a CZK 471 million transport terminal project that will combine bus, rail and future tram services, include a new riverside park and waterfront promenade, and also draw on EU funds. The terminal is slated for construction this summer with completion expected in two years.
