Czech coins hold high value for collectors

Certain Czech coins hold significant value for collectors due to specific historical circumstances and manufacturing details. One notable example is the 20-koruna coin featuring Alois Rašín, which was redesigned by sculptor Vladimír Oppl following a commission from the Czech National Bank.

Other rare items include the 1993 ten-koruna coin. Because domestic mints could not keep up with demand following the dissolution of the state, a portion of the minting was conducted in Hamburg, Germany. These German-minted versions, which feature slightly different lettering, are highly sought after by numismatists compared to the standard domestic versions produced in Jablonec.
