Czech comedy ‘Někdo to rád v Plzni’ dominates Oneplay streaming

The Czech comedy ‘Někdo to rád v Plzni’, directed by Martin Horský, has demonstrated significant success on the Oneplay streaming platform. After attracting over 140,000 viewers in cinemas this spring, the film remained the most-watched title on Oneplay for nearly two months, holding its position for seven weeks before being displaced by ‘Black Canary’ and ‘The Killer’.

In a separate development regarding low-budget Czech filmmaking, creators of a comedy produced for 300,000 CZK successfully utilized crowdfunding to finance a sequel. Following a campaign on the Donio platform, fans contributed over 1.2 million CZK within two weeks to support the production of the second installment.
