Czech court rules against Jaromír Soukup in dispute with Miroslav Dopita
A Czech court has ruled against Jaromír Soukup in a legal dispute with Miroslav Dopita following a physical altercation that occurred in September 2024 near the home of Agáta Hanychová.
In a ruling by the District Court for Prague 6, Soukup's lawsuit seeking an apology and 300,000 CZK from Dopita was dismissed. The court determined that Dopita's description of Soukup as a “psychopath” constituted a protected evaluative judgment.
Furthermore, a countersuit filed by Dopita was successful. The court ordered Soukup to publish an apology on his website for at least 30 days and to remove claims regarding the alleged use of a weapon. Additionally, Soukup was ordered to pay Dopita 209,721 CZK in legal costs. This follows a previous ruling in May where a judge found that Soukup had acted as an aggressor and provoked the initial incident.
