Czech cultural and municipal projects reach key milestones

Several cultural and municipal projects are reaching milestones in the Czech Republic. In Litoměřice, a new re-use center is set to open in a former barracks complex to promote a circular economy. The facility allows citizens to donate functional items like furniture, books, and tools for a symbolic fee, aiming to improve waste management. The project cost approximately 23.5 million CZK, half of which was covered by European subsidies.

In Prague, the Vinohradské divadlo is relocating to the Radiopalác to facilitate a major reconstruction of its historic building. The theater will operate from a temporary 370-seat venue for approximately three years, with performances scheduled to begin on October 24. The renovation aims to address the technical state of the original 1926 stage and improve the building's interior and facilities.

Additionally, the Václav Čtvrtka Library in Jičín has reopened following a three-year reconstruction. The project, costing 83 million CZK, focused on modernizing the 1924 building, adding a new extension, and ensuring full accessibility. The renovation was supported by nearly 59.7 million CZK in European subsidies from the Integrated Regional Operational Program.
