Czech culture and history highlighted in new exhibitions

A traveling exhibition titled ‘Lichtenstein: 800 Years of Sustainability’ has opened in Moravský Krumlov, Czech Republic. The exhibition, featuring panels in the town square until August 17, highlights the historical impact of the Liechtenstein family, who owned the Moravský Krumlov castle from 1625 to 1908.

Representatives from the Prince of Liechtenstein Foundation noted that the family’s legacy is visible in the region’s monuments, landscapes, and settlement networks. The exhibition also addresses modern challenges, such as the economic needs for maintaining historical sites and the contemporary role of the Principality of Liechtenstein in the regional economy.

In related cultural news, Czech art and architecture will be showcased in Germany as part of the Czech Republic’s guest appearance at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The Klingspor Museum in Offenbach will host ‘From the Center of Europe,’ an exhibition of Czech book art featuring works by artists such as Alfons Mucha and Toyen. Additionally, the German Architecture Museum (DAM) will present an exhibition by the National Gallery Prague focusing on innovative Czech millennial architecture, featuring approximately 28 projects from various regions.
