Czech digital habits: Half of adults spend up to three hours daily on devices

A survey by Stem/Mark reveals digital device usage patterns among the Czech adult population. Half of adults spend between one and three hours daily on digital devices for leisure, while a quarter spend three to five hours. Mobile phones are nearly universal, with 99% of adults using them, primarily for social media and communication via apps like WhatsApp and Facebook.

Usage intensity varies significantly by age. Among those aged 18 to 29, 57% spend more than three hours daily on digital technology. In contrast, only 31% of the 45 to 59 age group and 38% of those over 60 reach this level of usage. While 37% of respondents admit to feeling nervous without their phones, the majority report being able to handle several hours offline without significant issues.
