Czech DIY wooden houses highlight unique family‑built designs
A family in the Vysočina region transformed an abandoned JZD cafeteria into a custom‑built home with a surrounding garden, a pond created on the property and a flourishing florist shop run by the owners. The construction was carried out largely by the family, whose husband works as a mason, and the house now serves as a weekend‑rental and a showcase of their craft.
In the Brdy forest area, another distinctive wooden house has been erected, notable for its design that incorporates a dry stream running through the property, illustrating an unconventional approach to rural Czech architecture.
