Czech fan Miloslav Urbanec turns home into Argentine football shrine

Miloslav Urbanec, a 51‑year‑old resident of Bukovka near Prague, has devoted his house and garden to Argentina's national football team. Since being inspired by Argentina's 1978 World Cup win, he painted the façade in blue and white, installed a large mural featuring Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona and other Argentine stars, and named the street in front of his property "Argentinská."

The garden now holds a miniature replica of Boca Juniors' La Bombonera stadium with a 50‑seat stand, a life‑size gold‑covered Maradona statue, and a massive portrait of Messi. Urbanec says he built the tribute in anticipation of Argentina's final match against Spain at the 2026 World Cup. He has travelled to previous tournaments in Qatar, Brazil and the United States and continues to expand his collection of Argentine football memorabilia.

The project, covered by Czech media, showcases the depth of one fan's passion for a foreign national team, turning an ordinary family home into a unique cultural landmark.
