Czech festivals and dragon boat races scheduled for August weekend

Several cultural and community events are scheduled in the Czech Republic for the weekend of August 21–23.

In Žďár nad Sázavou, the Slavnosti jeřabin festival will feature the ‘Rytmy na hladině’ program at the Pilský reservoir. The event includes workshops, drum performances, and a concert by the band Exit. A highlight of the festivities is a light drum show and a fire brigade fountain involving 32 units. Additionally, the 20th anniversary of the Dračí lodě Vysočina dragon boat races will take place on Saturday.

In Dolní Újezd, the Újezdské babí léto folk and country festival returns to the local volunteer fire department grounds. The two-day lineup features prominent artists such as Jiří Pavlica with Hradišťan, Žalman, Taxmeni, and several others. The festival offers camping facilities at a nearby swimming pool.
