Czech festivals showcase black metal, electronic and pop line‑ups

The ninth edition of the Soulbönding Trip festival, originally launched in 2018 as a Czech‑Polish border‑meeting, returns with an expanded programme that spans black metal, electronic and psychedelic music. Acts from the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Switzerland and Austria are slated to perform, including Bön, Jezuzka, The Invasive Species, Ol‑af Olafsonn’s Big Bad Trip, and the black‑metal‑infused Baalzagoth. The event will also feature workshops, lectures and an analog liquid‑light show, with a bar serving local beer and homemade food.

Meanwhile, the Pop Messe festival at Brno’s velodrome offers a three‑day roster of more than fifty performers. Headliners such as German industrial pioneers Einstürzende Neubauten, French producer Oklou, UK duo Overmono and veteran Czech singer‑songwriter Richard Müller will appear alongside Swedish artist Anna von Hausswolff, Spanish‑Moroccan musician Mina Galán and a range of electronic and indie acts. The programme also includes debate sessions, film screenings and a cycling component, highlighting the festival’s broader cultural scope.
