Czech film 'Mé dobré město Znojmo' seeks funding while Chopin House launches summer cinema series

Filmmakers of the historical comedy "Mé dobré město Znojmo" have opened a public crowdfunding campaign on Donio, aiming to raise 300,000 CZK for post‑production work such as editing, sound, color correction and 3D animation. Only about one‑third of the target has been collected a few days before the deadline, and the team says each additional crown reduces the need for compromises. The completed film is scheduled to premiere on 4 September at the Svět cinema in Znojmo.

Separately, the Chopin House in Mariánské Lázně will host an outdoor summer film program starting 28 July. Screenings begin at 21:30 and move indoors if weather demands. The lineup includes the satirical comedy "Ovce žerou první", a classic 16 mm feature "Nejkrásnější věk" presented by Martin Plitz, and the new Czech comedy "6 gramů" on 11 August. Tickets are priced at 150 CZK per showing.
