Czech football controversies involve penalty decisions and Sigma Olomouc B victory

Controversial refereeing decisions marked recent football matches in the Czech Republic. In an Olomouc derby, VAR prompted a penalty to be retaken after Dominik Janošek hit the post. While the initial goal by Václav Sejk was disallowed because he allegedly entered the penalty area prematurely, experts have questioned the ruling, suggesting the ball became a new game situation after hitting the post.

In Brno, a match between Zlín and Zbrojovka saw a goal scored from a corner kick after the referee penalized the goalkeeper, Artus Richard Kašík, for time wasting. This resulted in a 2:2 draw.

In separate news, Sigma Olomouc B secured a 5:1 victory over SK Hranice, keeping their promotion hopes alive. Adam Proniuk led the scoring with a hattrick, supported by goals from Mark Matocha, Adam Uriča, and a backheel finish by Filip Uriča.
