Czech footballers discuss career challenges due to injuries

Czech footballers Vlček and Lukáš Juliš have discussed the impact of recurring injuries on their professional careers.

Vlček, a player for Slavia Prague, revealed that a muscle tear sustained during a match against Plzeň prevented his return to the national team. He noted that while he had hoped to rejoin the squad after a short period, the injury required three weeks of recovery, forcing him to undergo treatment at his club instead.

Former Sparta Prague striker Lukáš Juliš, 31, expressed concerns regarding his future in top-tier football. Juliš stated that due to a history of significant injuries, including a cruciate ligament tear at age 18 and subsequent stress fractures, clubs now view him as a high-risk signing. He reflected on his career trajectory, noting how his path diverged from teammate Patrik Schick due to these persistent health challenges.
