Czech hockey clubs Zlín and Slavia Prague prepare for new seasons

Czech hockey clubs Zlín and Slavia Prague are preparing for their upcoming seasons with significant organizational updates.

Zlín's general manager Jan Pravda announced that the club is in good financial condition, with the budget nearly reaching its planned level due to new partnerships. The club will not change its logo and has departed from the Association of First League Clubs due to differing philosophies. Sports manager Jaroslav Balaštík introduced several roster reinforcements, including Canadian player Jacob Guévin and the return of Petr Šenkeřík, as the team aims for a top four finish.

Meanwhile, Patrik Eliáš is taking on a dual role as the general manager of the national team while continuing his work with Slavia Prague. Eliáš addressed concerns regarding potential conflicts of interest, noting that because Slavia is not in the extraliga, his position is compatible with the national team's requirements. He expects the increased workload to limit his free time but believes the arrangement will not negatively impact his duties at the club.
