Czech households face challenges with financial reserves

According to a 2025 survey by the Czech Statistical Office on living conditions, approximately 19.4% of Czech households would be unable to cover an unexpected expense of 16,800 CZK using their own resources.

This figure indicates that nearly one in five households lacks a basic financial cushion for sudden costs such as appliance repairs or unexpected bills. Additionally, 19.9% of households reported being unable to afford a weekly holiday away from home in 2025, suggesting limited financial flexibility for many residents.
