Czech housing market shows price growth and new data tools
The Czech housing market shows varying trends in pricing and accessibility. In Prague, apartment prices rose by 2.4 percent in the first half of the year, reaching an average of 153,100 CZK per square meter. While Prague 1 remains the most expensive district, Prague 2 saw the fastest growth at 9 percent. Total sales volume in Prague reached 71.1 billion CZK, driven largely by new developer projects which accounted for nearly 60 percent of transactions.
In the Moravian-Silesian Region, a new data portal has been launched to help residents track housing trends. The tool allows users to compare property prices, wage developments, and new construction volumes across different districts. The portal includes calculators to estimate mortgage payments based on property size and to determine how long a household might need to save for a home based on their income and savings rate.
