Czech LPG Vehicle Market Grows, Dacia Duster Eco‑G 120 Boosts Sales
Registrations of new LPG‑powered cars in the Czech Republic reached 6,455 in the first half of 2025, the second‑best result on record after a rapid rise from 3,502 in 2023 and 4,589 in 2024. Dacia remains the market leader, registering more than 2,600 LPG units, while Renault expanded its Clio lineup with the Eco‑G 120 k engine and Dacia introduced the Striker mild‑hybrid. Italian newcomer DR Automobiles entered the segment with its ThermoHybrid LPG models, and its exclusive Czech importer Agrotec reports that over 50 % of its orders are equipped with LPG.
A test of the Dacia Duster Eco‑G 120 highlights its practical advantages: a 1.2‑litre turbocharged engine delivering better acceleration, fuel consumption of roughly 8 L LPG per 100 km, low operating costs, high ground clearance and a spacious interior with modern infotainment. Reviewers note the seamless automatic or manual LPG‑benzine switch and commend the vehicle’s off‑road capability and overall value.
