Czech 'Mazlíček roku 2026' pet contest ends photo submissions

The Czech pet‑photo competition Mazlíček roku 2026 has closed its intake of new entries after receiving an overwhelming number of submissions. The contest, which runs monthly rounds with a new winner each month and a final champion at the end of the year, is now in its second August voting round. Voters can cast their votes for their favourite pets on the Dotyk.cz and Denik.cz websites.

Organisers highlighted several contestants, including Dusty, a friendly dog who loves walks and cuddles, Ben (also called Buňula), an eight‑year‑old dog who enjoys lounging on the couch, and Tracy, a half‑year‑old German Shepherd puppy who is active and loves children. The competition aims to showcase pets of all species – fur, feather or scale – and to let the public decide which companion will earn the title of Pet of the Year 2026.
