Czech men's volleyball team prepares for European Championship

The Czech men's national volleyball team is preparing to compete in the European Volleyball Championship, hosted across Italy, Bulgaria, Finland, and Romania. The team, led by coach Jiří Novák, will compete in Group A based in Modena, Italy.

Following a strong fourth-place finish at last year's World Championship, the team aims to advance from the group stage. Their opening match is against Greece, where the Czech Republic enters as a slight favorite according to European rankings. The group stage schedule also includes matches against Sweden, Slovakia, Italy, and Slovenia.

Coach Novák and captain Patrik Indra emphasized a step-by-step approach, focusing on securing progression to the knockout rounds before setting higher ambitions. Players like Lukáš Vašina expressed readiness after a month and a half of preparation.
