Czech military tests drone technologies and combat medicine
The Czech military is conducting advanced technological testing and specialized training to modernize its capabilities. In the Olomouc region, the Drone Shield exercise brings together over a thousand participants, including NATO representatives and various technology companies. The event focuses on the practical verification of unmanned systems and counter-drone technologies, involving 49 companies specializing in drone defense and 24 companies testing groundless unmanned systems.
Brigadier General Petr Šnajdárek, Director of the Communications and Information Systems Section of the Ministry of Defence, noted that the rapid evolution of unmanned systems requires accelerated acquisition and testing processes to ensure soldiers receive modern technology in a timely manner. The testing covers the entire defense chain, from passive protection like thermal camouflage to active detection using radar, radio-frequency, and acoustic sensors.
Simultaneously, the Military Academy in Vyškov is advancing combat medicine training. The academy focuses on preparing soldiers to provide life-saving care under extreme conditions using Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) principles. The program adheres to international standards, holding certification from the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), and involves collaboration with medical professionals and international military partners.
