Czech Minister Zuzana Mrázová fined for undisclosed family loan

Minister for Local Development Zuzana Mrázová (ANO) was fined by the Magistrate of Most for a breach of the conflict‑of‑interest law after omitting a half‑million‑koruna family loan from her asset declaration. The loan was used to purchase half of a plot in Bílině. The fine can be up to 50 000 CZK, but the exact amount has not been disclosed. The decision is not yet final and Mrázová may appeal.

When reporters asked her about the source of funds, she repeatedly said, “I will not talk to you,” ten times during a six‑minute interview. She had previously acknowledged receiving the loan but failed to record it, a violation reported by the Ministry of Justice. The case follows earlier scrutiny of her housing arrangements in municipal apartments.

The magistrate’s spokesperson said the matter will remain confidential until the ruling becomes legally binding.
