Czech monuments host annual Hradozámecká noc night event

Approximately 140 historical monuments across the Czech Republic are participating in the annual Hradozámecká noc (Castle and Chateau Night) organized by the National Heritage Institute. The event features special evening programs, including night tours, musical performances, and themed activities at state-owned, private, and municipal sites.

Horšovský Týn State Chateau serves as a central hub for this year's event, offering programs inspired by Japan and the life of Countess Michiko Coudenhove-Kalergi. Other notable locations include Litomyšl Castle, which will present 18th-century theater, and Švihov, which features falconry demonstrations. Some sites, such as Házmburk and Trosky, will host campfire gatherings, while others like Landštejn and Rabí offer unguided night tours.

Loučeň Castle is hosting an extended program that continues until sunrise. The theme, “Nobility on the Move,” focuses on 19th-century travel and the international connections of the Thurn-Taxis family. Activities at Loučeň include chocolate-themed tours, star gazing, and light shows projected onto the castle facade.
