Czech municipal elections: Jiří Šlégr and Lukáš Konečný elected

Results from the municipal elections in the Czech Republic show varying outcomes for several high-profile figures. In Litvínov, former hockey player Jiří Šlégr was elected to the city council under the ‘To dáme’ movement.

In the Ústí nad Labem region, former boxer Lukáš Konečný secured a seat in the city council. However, several other notable figures failed to win mandates. In Chomutov, actor Zdeněk Godla and hockey coaches Vladimír Růžička and Martin Pešout did not succeed in their bids for office.

Other election results include Filip Král, a hockey defender, being elected in Blansko, and Martin Hanzal winning a seat in Česká Budějovice. In Pardubice, the ‘Srdcem pro Pardubice’ movement finished last among nine candidates, despite a visible campaign.
