Czech municipal elections: New candidates announced in Prague and Teplice

In the lead-up to municipal elections in the Czech Republic, several political shifts and new candidates have emerged. In Prague 1, Filip Dvořák has announced he will not run for the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) after 35 years. Instead, he is leading the MODRÁ candidate list. Dvořák aims to address urban issues such as parking, security, noise, and the functionality of the district council to improve daily life for residents.

In Teplice, Vendula Vinšová, daughter of the late Senate Chairman Jaroslav Kubera, is running for the ODS. With a professional background in education and psychology, Vinšová intends to focus on modernizing school equipment and strengthening cooperation between schools, parents, and the city. She seeks to build upon her father's political legacy in the city where he served as mayor.
