Czech municipalities add interactive and wayfinding installations to local parks

The town of Bor has installed new interactive elements in Zámecký park to attract families and promote outdoor activity. The additions include animal‑inspired movement challenges, height comparison poles, educational panels on forest wildlife and plants, observation points, frottage stations for creating animal and plant impressions, and QR‑code links to mobile content. The project cost 711,660 CZK and was funded from the city’s budget.

In Bohumín, the municipal authorities have replaced outdated signage with a modern directional system of 35 panels at the Bospor sports‑and‑recreation complex. The new graphics aim to improve navigation for visitors arriving from Ostrava, Karviná and the nearby Polish border. Bospor offers an aquacenter, sauna world, adventure golf, a sports hall, ice stadium and accommodation, serving over 300,000 guests annually and generating roughly 75 million CZK in revenue.
