Czech municipalities complete school infrastructure renovations

Municipalities in the Czech Republic have completed significant reconstruction projects for local school facilities.

In Ústí nad Orlicí, the Klubíčko kindergarten garden underwent a major revitalization over the summer. The project, costing approximately 2.6 million CZK, replaced aging play elements with new sand and water play areas, a terrain slide, a sunken trampoline, and a nest swing. The renovation also included updated access roads using drainage concrete and stone paving, as well as an expanded gazebo and a new outdoor classroom. The project was funded entirely by the city's budget after grant applications were unsuccessful.

In Česká Ves, a reconstructed outdoor area in front of the primary school has been opened to students. The project was accelerated following devastating floods in 2024 that destroyed the previous space. The renovation, costing 13.5 million CZK, features a new central entrance and increased greenery while maintaining existing playgrounds. Additionally, the municipality invested 2.5 million CZK into a new modular library. While the outdoor spaces are now functional, interior renovations of the school building are still ongoing.
