Czech municipalities offer financial aid for children and students
Czech municipalities are implementing financial support programs for families and students. In Znojmo, the city will provide up to 2,200 CZK per child for regular physical, sporting, or artistic activities. This support is available for children from birth up to age 15 who are permanent residents of Znojmo or its suburban parts. The program specifically targets families meeting certain criteria, such as those receiving social benefits, foster care allowances, or undergoing debt relief. Applications for the 2026/2027 school year can be submitted between October 1 and November 30, 2026.
In Hodonín, the city provides a 3,000 CZK contribution to parents of first-grade students to assist with school supplies. The city spends approximately half a million CZK annually on this initiative. To qualify, applicants must meet specific conditions, including not being in debt to the city for unpaid fees. For the 2026/2027 school year, 12 first-grade classes are expected to open across local primary schools.
