Czech municipalities undergo cultural and administrative building renovations
Several municipal cultural and administrative buildings in the Czech Republic are undergoing significant renovations. In Trnava, a 50-year-old cultural center is entering the final stages of a reconstruction project. The municipality has secured building permits and regional subsidies to address critical issues with the roof, electrical systems, and heating. The renovation, designed by D+Architekti, will transform the building into a multifunctional space for conferences, theater, and social events, featuring a new outdoor terrace and an integrated hospitality area.
In Valašské Klobouky, the Secession-style Jan Horný House, which serves as the town hall, is also undergoing extensive restoration. While interior updates to offices and social facilities are largely complete, restoration work on the historic facade is ongoing. Due to the discovery of unforeseen structural defects in the sandstone elements, the completion date has been pushed to late October. Despite the ongoing work, the building will remain accessible as a provisional polling station for upcoming municipal and Senate elections.
