Czech municipalities upgrade fire station infrastructure

Municipalities in the Czech Republic have completed significant upgrades to local fire station infrastructure to support volunteer firefighting units.

In Nová Ves I, a new fire station costing over 21 million CZK has been established. The facility provides modern space for vehicles, equipment, training, and social amenities, replacing an outdated building that had fallen into disrepair. The project was supported by 2.4 million CZK from European funds.

In Veselí nad Lužnicí, a reconstruction of an existing 1980s-era station was completed at a cost of 12.6 million CZK. The project, which included thermal insulation and updated heating, electrical, and water systems, was partially funded by a 1.7 million CZK grant from the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic. The upgrades aim to improve energy efficiency and provide better living and working conditions for the firefighters.
