Czech museums unveil rare‑artifact exhibitions in Broumov and Valtice

The Museum of Broumov will open an interactive exhibition on 24 June 2026 that gives visitors access to items normally kept in storage. Highlights include a fossilized freshwater shark, a two‑headed calf, a WWI camp seal, a specially modified poacher’s gun and other rare objects that illustrate the region’s history.

The National Agricultural Museum in Valtice will hold a summer programme on 17 June 2026, opening its normally closed depots to the public. The event will showcase historic wine‑making equipment such as a spindle press, a mash‑basket and related artifacts, as well as a floral display featuring pelargoniums, surfinias and unusual varieties of peppers and tomatoes. Both exhibitions feature guided tours and interactive elements aimed at families and adults alike.
