Czech music acts Skyline and Fullstop shift to Czech lyrics

Several Czech musical acts are shifting their creative direction by transitioning from English to Czech lyrics.

The band Skyline announced they are preparing their first Czech-language EP. MC Jacob noted that while the idea initially seemed unconventional, the move to songwriting in Czech is refreshing and allows the band to explore new musical territories. The upcoming project is described as an experiment for their listeners.

Similarly, the band Fullstop is undergoing a significant restructuring. After more than twenty years of performing, the group has introduced a new vocalist, Jana Jirásko, and is collaborating with producer Boris Carloff. The band has decided to move away from English to ensure their audience understands their message more clearly, aiming for a sound that balances alternative and pop influences. Their first release in this new era is the single ‘Tančím sám’.
