Czech musical events: Enescu Octet performance and post-hudba anniversary tour

Two prominent Czech string quartets, the Zemlinský Quartet and the Bennewitz Quartet, will perform George Enescu’s String Octet in C major, Op. 7, on September 23, 2026. The concert, part of the 4plus series, will take place in the main hall of the Municipal Library in Prague. The program will also feature works by Josef Suk and Antonín Dvořák.

In other musical news, the Prague duo post-hudba is launching a tour to celebrate their 15th anniversary. The tour begins on September 25 at MeetFactory in Prague with the presentation and christening of their new album, ‘post-hudba ’26a zpěvník’. The anniversary event will feature performances by Tomáš Havlen and Jan Senft, followed by acoustic and electronic sets by post-hudba. The tour will subsequently travel to several cities, including Olomouc, Liberec, Brno, and Bratislava.
