Czech newspaper launches weekly newborn photo galleries and baby voting contest

The Czech daily Deník is publishing weekly photo galleries of newborn babies from the Vysočina region and from Prague and the Central Bohemian region. Parents can submit photos of their infants with a signed consent form, after which the images appear both on the newspaper’s website and in its print edition.

Each week the gallery is accompanied by a public poll titled “Most Sympathetic Baby,” where readers vote for their favourite newborn. The baby with the most votes each month advances to a national competition for the title “Miminko měsíce” (Baby of the Month). The contest promises a unique front‑page feature for the winning infant.
